Aleksandra Mozgielis a graduate of Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk in professor Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron’s piano class. She also studied at Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique at de Danse under the direction of professor Michel Béroff and professor Eric Le Sage and at Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover in professor Gerrit Zitterbart’s class. She participated in master courses of interpretation held by Henry Meyer, Joseph Kalichstein, Sebastian Hamann, Laszlo Simon, Dennis Lee, Teresa Manasterska, Czesław Stańczyk, Paweł Skrzypek, Robert Kabara, Jean-François Heisser, Michel Béroff. She was also a trainee at prestigious music courses in France: Académie Internationale de Musique Maurice Ravel in St.-Jean-de-Luz and Académie Internationale d’Été in Nice. Together with a piano quartet ”Dalí” she was nominated twice (2000 and 2001) by the Vice-Chancellor College of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk for a Czerwona Róża prize in the competition for the best Tricity scientific circle. In the year 2002 the quartet was awarded 2nd prize in this competition. She was also presented with a prestigious Nagroda dla Młodych Twórców [Young Artist Award] awarded annually by the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk to the most promising Gdańsk artists (2003). Aleksandra Mozgiel won 31 awards in 26 national and international solo and chamber competitions. She is one of the most versatile pianists of her generation. She gives concerts in Poland and abroad – solo, chamber and as an accompanist. In the years 1999 and 2000 she participated in Koncert Roku [The Concert of the Year] – a review of the most outstanding students of academies of music in Poland. Since 2004 she has been permanently working with Polish Baltic F. Chopin Philharmonic as an orchestra musician. In 2005 as a member of the Polish team she participated in XV International F. Chopin Piano Competition with very favourable reviews. She performed as a soloist among others with the Baltic Philharmonic, Filharmonia Pomorska [Pomerania Philharmonic], Hamburger Camerata. She gave concerts in Germany, France, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Italy and Guadeloupe. |
